I would never put myself through the stress of being the official photographer for such a performance as this, but since I was not the main photographer and since Clara is played by my niece, here we go!
I didn’t take these pictures, my sister did. She sent them to me because I wanted to practice editing outdoor lifestyle.
During the break from school, Jeff’s parents flew in from Corvallis and we went to Historic Nauvoo for a few days. Here we are working together to make a rope.
The exibit guide told that a good rope could stand up a foot on end. Looks like we did okay.
After we got home from Nauvoo, we planned a trip to downtown Chicago. This is the view from the Shedd Aquarium.
Our favorite frog at Shedd. He looks like his eye is open, but it is closed. Doesn’t it look sage and wise?
Walking into downtown from museum campus.
Cheesing at the bean.
Jeff has decided that my purpose in life it to figure out all his best angles.
My mother-in-law taught me how to make this amazing bread. She bought me the wheat grinder and mixer and since I use them all the time, I think she is happy she did. I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the process for getting back into my photography groove. Also, my photo editing skills are coming back stronger than ever. I’m so excited about what I am getting from my little Rebel.
For some reason the tops of the loaves cracked while cooking. They don’t normally do that and I think it’s because I didn’t let them rise long enough the second time.
Still tastes fantastic.
I am continuing to experiment and get back in touch with editing. These are more pictures of where we live. The first one is the little courtyard at the back of our building.
Random neighborhood house. I wanted to take pictures with difficult contrast to see if I could make them look okay.
The alleyway we drive into to park at home.
Squirrels are everywhere here. One jumped out of the dumpster at Jeff when he opened the lid.
We are the top apartment.
This car is permanently parked next to us. You can see Ray’s red car in the very back; he’s our neighbor. Most of the time he is outside polishing his cars.
